Compare forecasts in three steps

  1. Choose places.Search by city or postal code and add up to five locations.
  2. Select model and period.Use Best Match or choose DWD ICON, ECMWF IFS or NOAA GFS for three, seven or ten days.
  3. Choose a view.Switch between overview, comparison, temperature, sunshine, precipitation, clouds and wind.

Save an Asia trip and family locations separately

  1. Build your travel selectionRemove the current places, then add Seoul, Tokyo and Osaka using the location search.
  2. Save the first selectionOpen Settings, find City selections and click Save as new. MeteoDeck saves it as “Seoul · Tokyo · Osaka”.
  3. Build your family selectionRemove the travel destinations, add the places where your family lives and click Save as new again.
  4. Switch between themUse the numbered buttons next to “Places” to switch between travel and family with one click. The star opens selection management; Save changes updates the active selection.

You can save up to five city selections. They remain exclusively in this browser's local storage.

Seven views for different questions

Overview

Summarises the key daily values for all selected places. Each day shows weather conditions, minimum and maximum temperature, precipitation and maximum wind. The detailed display can be expanded or collapsed.

Compare

Overlays curves for several cities. Switch between temperature and precipitation, hide individual places and compare values for the exact same time directly.

Temperature

Shows the hourly temperature trend for each place. Apparent temperature is displayed alongside air temperature to account for the effect of wind, humidity and radiation.

Sunshine

Visualises forecast sunshine duration by hour. This makes it easy to find longer sunny periods and see which location is expected to have the best conditions.

Precipitation

Displays hourly precipitation amount and probability. The two values answer different questions: how likely rain is and how much is expected to fall.

Clouds

Shows cloud cover as a percentage throughout the day. Low values indicate clearer skies, while high values represent heavy cloud or a fully overcast sky.

Wind

Compares average wind speed with expected gusts. Separate curves make calm periods and brief, significantly stronger wind peaks easier to identify.

Best Match, ICON, ECMWF and GFS

Best Match

Automatically selects a locally suitable forecast with the best available spatial resolution.

DWD ICON

The German Weather Service forecast system is particularly useful for Germany and Europe.

ECMWF IFS

A global forecast model from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.

NOAA GFS

A global forecast model from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Different models can produce different results. Forecasts are model-based estimates, not guarantees, and do not replace official severe-weather warnings.

Which weather data can I compare?

Temperature, apparent temperature, precipitation, sunshine duration, cloud cover, wind and gusts for up to five places.

Where does the data come from?

Weather and location data is provided by Open‑Meteo. MeteoDeck displays the selected model source.

Are my places stored?

Only when you save a city set, and then exclusively in your browser's local storage.

Why do models differ?

Models use different resolutions, calculation methods and initial conditions. Differences are normal and help reveal uncertainty.
